President's Message

President_HPPS

"It is a priviledge for me to address some words for the launching of our new website. In this digital era, a strong online presence is essential.

The Vision of the Hindi Pracharini Sabha is to safeguard the language and culture left as legacy by our Indian forefathers one century ago.

Its Mission is to preserve our culture by the propagation of Hindi language. In this direction, lots of activities are being carried out. Hence, I would say it will be a matter of great pride to keep one and all informed about those activities.

May this new website be an important tool to serve our purpose.

So let's stay connected and keep alive our beloved Hindi language."

Kind regards,

Mrs Rohinee Ramroop
President

Exam Content

Why students should choose Hindi Pracharini Sabha's examinations?

The Hindi Pracharini Sabha started the teaching of Hindi language nearly hundred years ago. At the start, the study of Hindi was meant only for the knowledge of our Scriptures. - Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, amongst others.

Along with the march of time, with a view to disseminate the language, many baithkas (evening schools) were opened throughout the island. Classes 1 to 6 were introduced together with examinations and certificates. Today, even Bhojpuri and Sanskrit language are also taught whereby exams for Sanskrit language are held at different levels.

In 1959, the Hindi Pracharini Sabha launched the study of Hindi at Secondary level, 'Parichay' level and gradually it was promoted to Uttama 3rd Part. To be noted is that Uttama 3rd Part is given the equivalence of a Diploma in Hindi by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource, Mauritius, that is, students who will do their Bachelor degree in Hindi are given an exemption of one year.

Hence, the reason why students choose Hindi Pracharini Sabha's examinations is because the Hindi Pracharini Sabha is the sole institution that conducts and certifies examinations at the above-mentioned secondary level and is affiliated with the prestigious Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, University of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India.
